Hallie Taylor-Assistant Coach College of Wooster

Hallie  joined The College of Wooster volleyball staff as an assistant coach in the 2024 season.  Taylor was the director of volleyball operations for Syracuse University from 2016-19. Taylor brings international experience to the program, having partnered with local schools throughout Europe to offer sport and character training in the mid-to-late 2010s.

As a collegiate athlete, Taylor played at both Syracuse and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. At UNC Asheville, Taylor passed out the second-most assists in a season.Taylor graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from UNC Asheville and a master’s in school counseling from Syracuse. Hallie loves training all aspects of the game but especially setters

Coach Carey has been analyzing volleyball with Coach Davis for nearly two decades, Carey has agreed to bring her outstanding training north to The College of Wooster.  A nationally renowned trainer located in the Columbus she brings over 25 years of college coaching, playing and consulting experience to each individual and/or team. With a focus on strategy and fundamentals at each position, your team or player(s) will benefit from her knowledge and experience and leave approaching the sport and position in a new way. Carey played for both Ohio State University and ETSU.

Katie Stansbury-Cleveland Volleyball Club  National Team Coach

An energetic trainer, who love to focus on defense and serve receive.  Katie “Stanny” Stansbury was a former standout player at Division I Colgate University and two-time Patriot League honorable-mention selection. The all-time kills leader at Padua High School, Stansbury helped the Bruins win the OHSAA Division II state championship in 2013 while earning all-state laurels in 2013 and 2014.

Stansbury is a fantastic coaching collogue and current volunteer assistant coach for Oberlin College and Coach of the CVC National Teams. 


Ashley Plassard Tarnow

Ashley Plassard has over a decade of camp experience. returning staff member.  Ashley was a middle blocker for the Fighting Scots and an Elementary Education and Art major. A former club coach for NOVA Juniors, and currently JV coach at Twinsburg HS.  She teaches Art in the Twinsburg District.  She is originally from  Painesville, Ohio and loves everything about the Eastside of Cleveland. 


Erica Rau

Erica Rau was named the winningest all-time Coach at Oberlin College and a outstanding middle blocker at Gettsyburg College.  Erica has experience as an assistant at Carnegie-Mellon and with the CVC.  Now focused on athletic administration, we are thrilled she will be back on the court to help our campers grow.  Erica will be leading the advanced track.  


Lydia Webster

One of the veteran staffers, Lydia's nickname on the team is "mom" and was a 1st team All-Conference Outside / Middle Hitter at Wooster. Now, an official mom to the cutest of littles, She completed her English degree and Early Childhood Education Endorsement in 2017 and spent the year as a long term sub at Kean Elementary. Lydia is an outstanding teacher of the game, and loves coaching campers. Lydia went to Fredericktown High school and played for CVA volleyball club.  She’ll be taking 2025 summer off but look for her back with us in 2026


Lucy Kinser

A communication studies and education major and 4 year varsity contributor for The Fighting Scots.  Lucy’s senior year as the starting Libero she ranked 4th in the conference in digs.   Lucy has run many camps, clinics, and lessons for Spirit Volleyball Club.  Lucy was an All-Skills Camper in her tween years and fell in love with the campus.  We are thrilled she will bring her energy and passion for training volleyball back with us again.  


Tamara Turner

A 2025 Graduate of The College of Wooster in Art and Psychology Tamara was a standout 6 rotation middle blocker for the Fighting Scots.  Tamara was a three sport athlete at nearby Orrville Highschool and will be heading to a masters in counselling program with the hopes of becoming an Art Therapist soon.  


Natalie Hohman

An aspiring Chemistry Teacher and Coach Nat is an impact defender for the Fighting Scots.  She brings a wealth of coaching experiences to camp. She hails from Delaware, OH and her positive energy and work ethic will be on full display. 


Kora Burrill

Kora is a rightside hitter and middle blocker for The Fighting Scots.  She recently spent her sophomore spring studying in Denmark.  Kora is a Biocheminstry and Molecular Biology Major from Napoleon, Ohio and played for The Defiance Volleyball Club in Western, Ohio. 


Catherine Muzilla

Elyria Catholic High School graduate in our pre-dental program.  Cat made an immediate impact as a defender her 1st year at The College of Wooster. Cat played for Spirit Volleyball Club’s National Team.  


Addie Gardner

Addie was an All-Skills camper back in the day and now is studying Pre-Med at The College of Wooster.  Addie was a defensive specialist and serving specialist with the Fighting Scots Team.  Addie is a graduate of The Hawkin School and played for Force Volleyball Club in Cleveland.  


William Edwards

A member of the staff since 2008, he handles all the testing results, skills grouping and data processing for camp.  You will find William at the head table keeping track of scores, match-ups and serving in any capacity needed.  He serves as high school line judge in his home state of Iowa.  He has been an avid volleyball fan at the high school and collegiate level.  William is the father of Coach Sarah Davis and an essential piece to making camp run smoothly.
